Event Information
The weekend will be fun, but busy. Here are some answers to common questions.
Location
Since 2022, Hyland has been the host for CGC. Registration typically opens in late April/early May. Sign up for our newsletter to get notified about volunteer applications being live.
What to Expect
You will work with experts in a variety of fields and nonprofit representatives to complete your assigned project. You will be assigned a team based on the needs of the project and your experience and skills. Plan to be moved from team to team as needs arise and shift. A weekend is a short amount of time to complete a tech project, so flexibility is key. On Sunday afternoon each team presents their project at the closing ceremony.
It’s important to remember that, while we have a good time together, we are also very serious about our purpose — to complete essential projects for area nonprofits.
Communication
Cleveland GiveCamp currently leverages Discord to facilitate communication between teams throughout the weekend of the event.
As we get closer to GiveCamp weekend (typically in July), we will reach out with additional information and updates here and across our social media channels.
